Rob Roberts is an Australian basketball coach originally based in Victoria. He has extensive experience coaching at both domestic and representative levels, from Under‑8 boys and girls through to Big V State Championship men’s and women’s programs, as well as the Victorian Ivor Burge Men’s Program.

Rob’s true passion is player development helping every athlete who steps onto the court become a better teammate, a better ball handler, a better shooter, and most importantly, a better person.

Rob delivers skills training and valuable insight through a targeted, personalised development approach. He believes in the potential of every player, seeing each athlete as a rising star. His experience across all ages and abilities allows him to provide point of need coaching that elevates players’ shooting, footwork, IQ, defence and ball handling.

Players love the game of basketball and Rob works with them to build the stepping stones that transition skill development into real game situations. As basketball continues to evolve, including the growth of 3×3 Rob prepares athletes to challenge themselves in varied competitive environments.

Rob founded Full Court Crew with a clear purpose: to create a community driven basketball program where development, inclusivity and opportunity come first. He wanted a club that genuinely invests in players of all backgrounds, celebrates grassroots basketball and provides a pathway for athletes to grow with confidence both on and off the court. Full Court Crew was built on Rob’s belief that strong fundamentals, strong values and strong connections create strong players and that every child deserves a place to learn, belong and thrive.

In addition to his work with players, Rob is a dedicated mentor to coaches. He supports developing coaches by sharing his knowledge, guiding them through game strategy, teaching effective communication and helping them build confidence in their own coaching identity. Rob believes that strong coaches create strong teams and he is committed to lifting the standard of coaching across the club. His mentorship ensures that FCC coaches feel supported, empowered and equipped to deliver high quality, player‑centred development.
